DIG

110 West Main Street
Louisville, KY 40202

"Dig" was the last in a series of exhibitions where The Ground Floor Gallery asked select artists to explore the elements of air, water, fire, and earth, respectively, in order to create site-specific work for various venues throughout the city.  "Dig" was a poetic fusion of art, music, and imagination that featured new work from sixty (60) artists across the U.S., based on the theme of earth, within vacant city warehouse space. Audiences paid a cover charge for "Dig," which included sculpture, installations, painting, photography, video, mixed media, performance art, henna-tattooing, hair and make-up artistry by Jerry Heston and his Salon, food and beverages from Ramsi's Café on the World, and several emerging bands playing original music from new albums.
