"Ignite" was an exhibition of forty (40) emerging artists, selected from an open call that received hundreds of proposals to create or loan art works that involved the element of fire. The Ground Floor Gallery transformed vacant, urban, storefront property into vibrant spaces filled with art and live performances that people visited in downtown Louisville throughout one weekend. The art event included sculptors, painters, photographers, performance artists, musicians, filmmakers, sound artists, hair and make-up artistry by Mark Richard Clements and Vertu Salon, fire-throwers, fire-eaters, fire-dancers.
